Mr Deepak Gupta is a consultant ENT surgeon in Swindon with more than 20 years of professional expertise. He provides private and NHS ENT (ear, nose and throat) services to both adult and paediatric patients at the BMI The Ridgeway Hospital.
Mr Gupta is a general adult and paediatric ENT specialist with sub-specialisation in rhinology (nasal and sinus problems). This includes the diagnosis and treatment of nasal allergies, blocked nose, nasal catarrh, smell issues, watery eye and facial pain, along with snoring and sleep apnoea.
Among the wide range of ENT procedures he performes are functional endoscopic sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty and frontal sinus surgery. Additionally, he provides sleep studies.
Mr Deepak Gupta completed his medical degree in India in 1982 and subsequently had ENT surgical training and fellowships in India, the US and the UK. He has practised as a consultant in the UK since 2000 and has been a consultant ENT surgeon at The Great Western Hospital, Swindon and the Ridgeway Hospital, Swindon since 2003. Apart from his clinical interests, he is involved in training, the introduction of patient-friendly initiatives and clinical research. In fact, in 2011 he was awarded Best Article of the Year by the Journal of Laryngology & Otology (JLO).
In addition, Mr Gupta has been in senior leadership positions, having served on the South West Senate and as the director of medical education for many years. He is also the founder-director of the Higher Education Leadership and Management programme (HELM). Since 2018, he has been a deputy lord lieutenant of Wiltshire.
